Quite often clients ask questions that lie out of astrological symbolism in a field of personal worldview and system of beliefs. My Saturn in Aquarius demands ultimate transparency, so I always tell when my advice is based on astrological system itself and when it’s my personal opinion.
It seems like many people come to astrologers (or any other consulters) specifically for their unique worldview. However, this issue bothers me a lot. I’ve heard hundreds of stories when astrologers pass of their personal opinions as astrological fact (or even worse — as absolute truth). So I’ve spend the last few years in an attempt to build a transparent framework that will help people to get the answers by themselves according to their own system of beliefs. In that approach, symbolic systems such as astrology are the tools, while an astrologer is a mediator and assistant.
I call this approach — multimodal analysis. It helps to observe any situation from six different angles, giving the comprehensive overview. Multimodal astrologer provides the structure and the language. They hold a space designed for growing insights and revelations. But the fruit should be taken by a client only.
As always what we do in life is deeply connected to our personal archetypes. Multimodal astrology is my attempt to address a personal issue — a square aspect between the Moon and Sun, the 12th House and Ascendant. In normal words, this quest can be formulated like this: how to be visible and invisible, to lead and support, to be personal and impersonal. I hope, that my work on that deeply personal (and impersonal) mission will enrich the world and astrology and help other people to find the answer they are looking for.
